Lynn United vs. International SC
Recap
Lynn United hosted International SC at Manning Bowl Stadium on a Saturday night match up which consisted of two squads with very talented players. The first half between the two teams ended in a 0-0 stalemate with both teams having legitimate goal scoring chances. Quincy Appah quickly ended the stalemate in the beginning of the second half off of an indirect free kick approximately 8 yards outside of the 18 yard box. Alex Carvajal of Salem, Massachusetts gently tapped the ball to Appah who blasted the ball into the back of the net. Appah later found the back of the net once again after beating the Lynn United goalkeeper via a well struck near post finish. Appah finally completed his hat trick in the 58th minute after dribbling passed the Lynn United keeper and calmly placing the ball into the net, scoring his fifth goal in two matches for the International SC Eagles. International SC’s fourth goal was provided by Guilerme Patricio Matos . The match concluded in a 4-0 victory for International SC.
International SC’s back line who featured Ben Noelk, Anuj Khadka, Jarod Rouleau, Carlton Wheeler Ominunu, and Pedro Perez had a strong showing, assisting goalkeepers Kyle Connolly and Chris Jiminez with securing the shutout. International SC will open their season on Saturday, April 14th where they will be hosted by the New Hampshire Rapids.
